This summer I enjoyed swimming a lot, both in the local heated outdoor pool – during the quieter hours, when not many people were there – and in the wide open polder waters typical of our Dutch landscapes, far outside my village. For me, swimming is more than just exercising my body. I feel wonderfully energized by the water.
Especially towards the end of the summer, in those moments in which I became almost one with the water, I reflected very much on it. The power of water fascinates me, not least because we are entering the Age of Aquarius.
Water ‘that gives life’
If we are to save our Earth, water is our ally. To begin with, the astrological symbol for Aquarius is the image of the ‘water bearer’ pouring life-giving water onto the Earth. The Age of Aquarius will be dominated by all kinds of water aspects related to human health and Earth as a whole.
Water has very special properties. This blog is about the Austrians Viktor Schauberger and Johann Grander.
Subsequent blogs will discuss the more spiritual qualities of water, citing contemporary researchers who have a close relationship with water.
Each in their own way, both men considered water as a living medium, as a prerequisite for all life, and as the essence from which we spring.
Hopefully, once groundbreaking insights into specific qualities of water, dismissed as unscientific, will be more widely appreciated in the future. They may help provide solutions to the numerous environmental problems we face.
Viktor Schauberger
Stemming from a generation of foresters, early in his life Viktor Schauberger (1885-1958) deeply immersed himself in an exploration of the importance of water — for nature in general, and for the forests of the Austrian mountains in particular. He was fascinated by the power of mountain streams and waterfalls: the bubbling, swirling and rushing of that crystalline water, sparkling with energy!
Schauberger discovered laws in nature that could potentially serve man in his optimal management of the Earth — in agriculture, animal farming, forestry and mining. Even then, however, he presumed that (most) people would not be willing to enter into such a cooperation with nature. He foresaw the degenerative developments we now call “environmental problems”.
Schauberger’s focus was on the pure energy that results from the meandering and spiraling motion of water. This energy increases the intensity of the water: it vitalizes itself.
Johann Grander
Johann Grander (1930-2012) was inspired in a similar way. For Grander, water was a living element, the medium that underlies all life on Earth, including human life. Even as a child, Grander sensed that water had much more to offer than simply the H2O formula.
Grander found water of a special quality in deep wells in an abandoned mining area. It is believed that this quality was due to the spring water absorbing “information” from the mineral-rich rock it flowed along.
He further enhanced the spring water’s powerful quality through magnetic processing. It became Grander’s mission to place this revitalized water at the service of our well-being and that of our Earth. Grander-water became a household name.
He developed numerous water vitalization devices that are still being used in households, swimming pools, purification plants, etc. Through the principle of resonance, used in the devices, low quality water seems to gain vitality, becoming fresher and softer …”, without — as yet — any scientific explanation.
Our own experience
After Grander’s success, several researchers became active in this field and achieved similar results. For example: in 2001, we had a (different type of) water vitalizer installed in the meter cupboard where the tap water flows from the meter into our house. Could we sense its effect? Most definitely!
First of all, the water became softer, and we very much enjoyed both drinking it and bathing in it, all of which has kept us in good health. It’s also interesting to notice that flower arrangements stay fresh and beautiful in their vases much longer than one would expect – for instance, not two, but up to four weeks! Furthermore, we don’t have to use much detergent in our washing machine to get a clean wash.
However, the effect of ‘living water’ is much, much greater. I will be happy to come back to this next time.
