According to astrologers, 2024 will be another turbulent year. In the world, on Earth, for humanity, and for each individual. Among other things, this has to do with solar activity, planetary positions, and with what the cosmic forces want to reveal to us.
This year, according to astronomers, there is a record number of sunspots occurring. This phenomenon is so strong that it is noticeable via satellite, as well as through the (disruption of) electromagnetic vibrations on Earth. It can also be emotionally destabilising to our minds.
At the same time, thanks to the positions of the Sun, Moon and planets, there are active forces that can support humanity in our process of spiritual growth. These forces even allow for an acceleration this year, if you are open to help offered from the unseen world. Trust in their help to release old paradigms, clear fears and blockages, and to open yourself to new, unprecedented possibilities.
Paradigms are ideas and patterns that are considered self-evident and immutable in a society. In these times, old paradigms are losing their value and power. Radically new paradigms are emerging. This is also necessary as we leave the Age of Pisces and begin the transition into the Aquarian Age.
This will not happen by itself. As a result of the transition, the whole of humanity is in a gigantic process of transformation. The present turmoil in so many areas is a symptom of this.
After January 20, 2024, astrologers expect the transit of planet Pluto into the sign of Aquarius to really make a difference. Pluto will stay in Aquarius until September 1, then move back into Capricorn, and finally enter the sign of Aquarius on November 20 for a period of about 20 years.
Heather Ensworth and others consider this position of Pluto as an important stimulus for humanity to embark on the new opportunities of the Aquarian Age.
The Age of Aquarius will last over 2000 years, following the Age of Pisces (year 0 to 2000) and before that the Age of Aries (2000 BC to year 0). The extraordinary thing is that where the previous eras were characterised by spiritual darkness, now the path to light and growing consciousness is being set.
Ensworth says, from shamanic wisdom and a deep spiritual conviction, “Aquarius represents water, which stands for the living energies of the cosmos”. She encourages us to enter into a process of spiritual growth and to release our fears in 2024.
It has been said many times: If you live from fear, there is no room for love; and if you live from love, you feel no fear. The choice is yours, but it is not that easy.
Inevitably – we grow up with fears, because as a human we want to live and to survive, and because as humanity, we have carried these fears with us for so long – often unconsciously.
The previous epochs mostly instigated fear.
Individually it meant: feeling separate from others, feeling better or worse than others, needing to control, etc.
Collectively it meant: “one’s own group or country first”, “power over”, “divide and rule”, warfare, exercising control.
We do still recognise such feelings and behaviour in our time, don’t we?
The ultimate fear is the fear of death. It cannot be otherwise for people who see earthly existence as the only life they will ever live. Losing one’s life is quite threatening for those who believe that death means disappearing into nothingness … .
Heather Ensworth sees learning to deal with our fears as an important theme for this year. We don’t have to get caught up in projection, polarisation and reactivity, and we don’t have to submit to the idea that – as individuals – we live our life completely on our own.
When we make assumptions out of fear, we easily lose our balance. The good news is that the energies of the cosmos (see above), as well as certain planetary positions, are especially supporting us this year. So, we may come out of the survival mode and become aware that there is another way of doing things. Namely, out of love while embracing life.
A new balance will foster the awareness that we are all dependent on Earth and that we are mutually dependent on each other. If we do not take care of our Earth, she cannot give us what we need. Everyone does their part. Let us strive for connection and cooperation, themes of the Aquarian Age.
